Ocean Energy is Critical to Recovery

On World Ocean Day, Benj Sykes and Stephen Bull, Co-Chairs of the Ocean Renewable Energy Action Coalition (OREAC), highlight ocean-based renewable energy – including offshore wind, tidal, wave and floating solar power – as the next transformative force to reshape our energy systems and power a green recovery in this op-ed published on Foresight. OREAC was formed in response to the 2019 call for ocean-based climate action by the Ocean Panel and represents ocean energy in the global dialogue on a sustainable ocean economy.
