Approaches under exploration include both biological and chemical methods, such as ocean alkalinity enhancement and ecosystem restoration.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">However, the paper underscores that significant knowledge gaps remain\u2014particularly around effectiveness, environmental and social impacts, permanence, and cost.
