Chile\u2019s Sustainable Ocean Plan, known as their National Ocean Program (NOP)<\/a>, takes an \u2018iterative approach\u2019, setting out a series of key initiatives across ocean sectors and establishing baselines to achieve Chile\u2019s commitment to sustainably manage 100% of ocean area under national jurisdiction.<\/p>\n

Le Chili prot\u00e8ge actuellement 43% de ses eaux juridictionnelles, d\u00e9passant l'engagement mondial pris par plus de 100 pays de prot\u00e9ger 30% de ses eaux nationales d'ici 2030. Le Chili a \u00e9galement un impact consid\u00e9rable sur les secteurs oc\u00e9aniques mondiaux avec la dixi\u00e8me plus grande zone \u00e9conomique exclusive (ZEE), la douzi\u00e8me plus grande. secteur de la p\u00eache et le deuxi\u00e8me en importance dans l\u2019industrie de la salmoniculture.<\/p>\n
