Jamaica tambi\u00e9n <a href=\"https:\/\/mfaft.gov.jm\/jamaica-will-accede-to-an-agreement-to-combat-illegal-unreported-and-unregulated-fishing-minister-campbell\/\">anunci\u00f3 que acceder\u00e1n<\/a> al acuerdo en los pr\u00f3ximos meses. Estos desarrollos significar\u00e1n que todos los miembros del Panel de Alto Nivel para una Econom\u00eda Oce\u00e1nica Sostenible (Panel Ocean) se comprometer\u00e1n con el primer acuerdo internacional legalmente vinculante para abordar la pesca INDNR.<\/p>\n<p>El Acuerdo de Medidas del Estado del Puerto impide que los barcos que practican la pesca INDNR utilicen los puertos y desembarquen sus capturas. Por lo tanto, ayuda a desincentivar la actividad ilegal e impide que los productos pesqueros derivados de la pesca INDNR lleguen a los mercados nacionales e internacionales.<\/p>\n<p>La actividad pesquera insostenible es una de las mayores amenazas para los ecosistemas marinos, ya que socava los esfuerzos nacionales para proteger la biodiversidad marina. Amenaza la capacidad del oc\u00e9ano para regenerarse y proporcionar de manera sostenible a quienes m\u00e1s dependen de \u00e9l para su nutrici\u00f3n y su sustento.
